News and Updates:
Doctor Who's Christmas special which will air on (guess... go on...) Christmas Day has been titled "Last Christmas" which naturally raises loads of questions. It's written of course by Steven Moffat and stars The Doctor, Clara and Nick Frost as Santa Claus. And with this came a short synopsis: 'The Doctor and Clara face their Last Christmas. Trapped on an Arctic base, under attack from terrifying creatures, who are you going to call? Santa Claus!'
In other news I have ordered the series 8 box set so I will be able to start reviewing series 8 stories starting hopefully in January. I will also review some previous Christmas specials nearer Christmas and possibly this years Christmas special.
Since I ordered the series 8 BBC shop special edition, I will review the packaging/format in the merchandise section.
Finally I have written another part of 'The TARDIS Watcher' this time Chapter 9 - The War Doctor. Read it here: Link. 'The TARDIS Watcher' is also being turned into a figure adventure by my friend Handbot10 see it here: Link.

Updates:
So we're into episode 5 of Doctor Who series 8, Time Heist and so far it's a pretty good series. So far I haven't had any sense of rushed plot or an important story arc ruling the series which was problems with previous series' though I'm still sometimes left confused by the stories, but I know that when I watch them again I will probably get it more, which brings me onto my next point. Obviously I haven't reviewed any stories from series 8 and this is because I am waiting to get them on DVD to review them (I know what your saying 'Why don't you watch them on iplayer?' Well I like the surprise of seeing new things on something I've paid for rather than buying the box set even though I've watched the stories five times. I have ordered the 'Deep Breath' DVD so I can hopefully review the story next weekend.
So far the scores for the series which you can also see here (link) are:
Deep Breath - 9/10
Into The Dalek - 8/10
Robot Of Sherwood - 6/10
Listen - 8.5/10
Time Heist - 7/10
a lot of articles are being written at the moment including some mentioned below which I won't repeat plus a review of the series 7 story 'Cold War', possibly a review of the 10th Doctor Maxi Bust and more...

Very sorry about the lack of updates and things going on but a busy time at the moment, so just wanted to say that I'm still here, I've got plenty of articles being written (some of which mentioned below) but a lot need finishing so those will be coming in the next few weeks, hope you enjoyed 'Robot of Sherwood', next episode 'Listen' which looks set to be the scariest story in a while...

Deep Breath review:
I've decided that I'm going to buy the Deep Breath DVD (link) before I review the story. The DVD comes out early September so I won't be reviewing it until probably middle of September as I want to get every detail before I review it. Sorry if you've been waiting for it but it did take me 50 years to review An Unearthly Child...

Just to say I'll be going to London tomorrow so should be able to pick up some nice merchandise from the various Doctor Who shops to review here so no updates tomorrow. Also as I say below I will review Deep Breath soon or maybe just my thoughts on it and I've also decided after seeing the awful new opening sequence (link) I will tell you why I hate it in an article in the features section which I will put up later. Hope you enjoyed Deep Breath too - I know I did. Next weeks episode 'Into the Dalek'...

Lots of Updates:
Hope you enjoyed the special 1st anniversary article last week, sadly I wasn't able to do as much articles as I wanted as it was quite a busy week but in the coming weeks I have lot's of things planned. So these updates will happen over the next 3-4 weeks or so.
First up, as we should all know by now on Saturday 23rd August series 8 will air with the first episode titled 'Deep Breath' as well as the debut of Peter Capaldi's 12th Doctor (see the synopsis here: link). So for this I will be doing a special piece of art which will go up on this date, then at the end of the series I will maybe start a 12th Doctor book although that won't happen until about Christmas time.
Next I have quite a few DVD reviews to do including the Sarah Jane Adventure 'Then Nightmare Man' as well as 'The Fires Of Pompeii and more. I will also review a few stories from Series 8 after they've aired.
In the merchandise section I am currently writing a review of a Jigsaw, after this I will review the Angles Take Manhattan play set and the much anticipated 'Engines of War' novel starring John Hurt as the War Doctor. After this I may review the Tales of Trenzalore book too.
In the features section I will do another 'favourites' article, this time with my top 5 Dalek stories or something like that.
Finally in case you haven't noticed I have also updated the 'Who's who in Doctor Who' - including a totally correct numbering of each Doctor, but also what we call them. See it here link. I have also updated the 'Episode Guide' page which now includes the 12th Doctor.
Below are some recent trailers ect... that I haven't had time to put up but here they are anyway.
Deep Breath in case you didn't know is being shown in Cinemas - so book now if you want to go.
Here are some clips from The second story of series 8 - rumoured title: Into the Dalek link
And finally a teaser trailer showing the Doctor meditating on the TARDIS roof while telling you to listen (make of that what you will) link
Finally below are some of the latest merchandise releases, check out the Doctor who site to see full details and other merchandise.

Things won't just be happening on the Wednesday, the articles will be coming up throughout the whole week. The main article which will be here on the Wednesday is the article I mentioned below in the features section of my favourite Doctors. All the articles this week will have a picture next to them which you can see opposite to show it's a special 1st anniversary article.
So enjoy!!.....

News + Updates!
Next week is this site's first birthday, so to celebrate this I will be doing a special article in the features section discussing my favourite Doctors. I will also be doing a special piece of art for the 12th Doctor, as well as a review of 'Tales of Trenzalore', a novel which I have only just ordered. Also just to mention, today (23/07/14) is one month until the first episode of Series 8, Deep Breath airs.
In other news there is also a special 50th anniversary box set due out soon, it will include The Name of the Doctor, The Day of the Doctor and The Time of the Doctor as well as loads of exciting special features. Read full details here: link
We also have a few articles that will be finished sometime this week, we have a review of the 5th Doctor story 'Enlightenment' and later a review of the Sarah Jane Adventures story 'The Nightmare Man'. Finally a small review of a Cybermat.
Remember to keep checking the site for updates, especially next week on the sites first Birthday! :D

Series 8 TV launch trailer!
We've had a few trailers recently (see below) but this one by far beats them all. The last few have been teaser trailers but this one actually gives us shots of the stories and what an excellent series it's looking like. Possibly the best yet. Also notice the small change in TARDIS interior; it now looks more orange and we can see book shelves lining the balconies! Certainly an improvement.
Watch it opposite: |
|
The Daleks: "I see into your soul, Doctor!...."
In this electrifying trailer we hear what sounds like Davros' voice say "I see into your soul Doctor... I see beauty, divinity," then a sudden change of voice to a more Dalek sound which says "Hatred" Watch the amazing new promo trailer opposite.
Series 8 is to air on Saturday August 23rd. |

New trailer, Promo image and first episode named! As well as 12th Doctor figure!

A lot of important things have been happening in Whoniverse this this week, first of all We have a brand new trailer which you can watch opposite as well as a new promotional image which you can also see opposite. The first feature-length episode of series 8 will be titled 'Deep Breath' - full details on all that here: Link. Then finally we are getting a brand new 5" figure set of 'The time of the Doctor'. Find full details here: Link. Also we are having a mini wave of new 3.75" figures called 'wave 2.5' coming soon so we look forward to that. As I have said - a lot to take in this week but it's just adding to the anticipation of Series 8 - Airdate: Saturday 23 August, 2014!

Updates:
Welcome to more riveting updates (I hope :P). After giving the site a bit of a shake-up, I gave the site a rest for a few day's but now I'm carrying on writing articles as usual.
Currently we've had...
• A small new piece of art showing The Doctors 50th anniversary speech with a background of the Gallifrey Falls no more picture.
• I know the Tenth Planet review is taking it's time but I just don't feel like watching black and white 60's episodes with the lovey sun out but hopefully this weekend it will be up (I think I've pretty much hit the classic DVD watching wall).
• Finally I was going to do an article about the August air date but I couldn't think of any negative reasons really! So I replaced it with and article about Doctor-Lite stories which should be up soon in the features section and another 'my doctor who favourites' article will be up soon - possibly about my favourite companions.
Coming soon...
* After I have reviewed "The Tenth Planet" I will probably review a Sarah Jane adventures episode.
* I will review possibly a figure set in the merchandise section as I haven't done that in a while.
* As I've said above, a new 'My doctor who favourites' article abut my favourite companions may be coming soon.
So keep checking the site for these new articles - they will be random! And the doctor who stories are pretty much on hold for now but I may carry on with them soon.

Updates, new logo and theme:
Well, the site has changed a bit hasn't it? We've got a new logo and a brand new vortex background. The HOME page has also been made more exciting. It has a slide show of some of the art you will find here as well as the doctor who 50 years trailer which is just magnificent.
The logo I changed because I just thought it was too bright for Capaldi who is said to be a darker doctor. It suited Matt Smith's doctor perfectly when I had him on the logo but now it just looked a little odd, so I changed it. Sorry if you liked the old one but never mind. Same with the background too.
Nothing much else has really been going on with the site lately, I'm still watching The tenth planet, I mean it's a great story but it's so hard to sit there and review it when all they are doing is standing there. But I've promised myself I will watch it tonight or tomorrow. In the merchandise section I have reviewed an excellent book, finally I have told you my top 5 TARDIS interiors in the features section. But anyway I mainly wanted to explain my change in logo here and I hope you like it.

Poll:
I haven't done any polls before because basically I'm worried nobody will vote (which is what will probably be the case here) but anyway that doesn't matter. This poll will be kind of an experiment but it's also quite important as the poll is 'Should the Doctor who figurine collection review page be deleted?' The page sometime hard to manage and doesn't offer anything to the site for me but for you it could be the best part of the site and I would be more than happy in carrying it on if so. But it's up to you.
If your not familiar with this page it is located in the 'more' tab and is called 'dw figurine collection mag pic's' I original fully reviewed each issue but now just do scores for the figure and the magazine out of 10.
Poll closed.

New series of articles:
This is kind of my first series of articles if you don't count the 11 doctor's art project. In the feature section I will be making a new series of articles called 'My doctor who favourites' (if that sounds too cheesy or whatever tell me haha...) anyway Although I have already told you may big favourites, in these coming articles I will be going in depth on all my favourite episodes, doctor's companions etc... as well as my least favourite episodes, doctor's and companions etc... I will also be mostly splitting them up into classic and new who, maybe even involving spin offs or even you... (as I may decide to do polls but not sure.) Enjoy...
The first article should be up today or tomorrow (17th or 18th).

Hi everyone, sorry I haven't really been posting anything for a little while so I just wanted to say that I'm not dead or anything...
Also I have the Web of fear to review soon as well as some Torchwood figures which I have decided to start collection after discovering Amazon (have 5 so far and will also try getting the Sarah Jane figures too then will probably get some series 1 figures which I don't have much of then finally I will get the new 3.75" figures wave 2 which I aren't too bothered about at the moment but will review them when I get them) also I will do some more of the box of horrors book later. Anyway again sorry I haven't been posting, been a little busy (and lazy). But you guy's have still been coming on here as I still have some good viewing figures so thanks very much for that, and just keep checking the site :) :) :) :)...

New companion for series 8?
It seems we are welcoming someone new to the TARDIS, who is going to feature in Capaldi's first series to air later on this year. The character will be called Danny Pink and it seems to me that he is going to be a little like Rory is series 5, a kind of on-off companion, but you can read full details for yourself here: link.

Updates:
Hello, I haven't really been writing these updates for the site for a little while but anyway:
* Reviews for 'The curse of the black spot' and 'Father's' day are up in the Reviews on DVD's section.
* Reviews on the 11th doctor's maxi bust and part of the 4th doctors time capsule are up on the Reviews on merchandise section.
* I have given my thoughts on Capaldi's costume and my hopes for Capaldi's era in the Features section.
Coming soon should hopefully be:
* Some more art which I haven't been doing for a while as I haven't really had any inspiration.
* I have asked some people if they want to write something for the features section so hopefully they can do that.
* Finally the 3rd chapter of 'The box of horrors' should be up soon hopefully.
Thank you for your time :) Also just to say I am very happy with the viewing figures for this site so thank you for taking the time to visit :)

Update:
On the 'Reviews on DVD's' page I have decided to start reviewing Sarah Jane adventures episodes and Torchwood episodes and I will review them soon. I will also create an episode guide page for SJA and Torchwood episodes on the 'episode guide' page (links will be at top of that page) so that you can see which episodes I have reviewed and will be set out exactly the same as the doctor who episode guide page. I will hopefully create these pages soon.

Quick update: You will notice on the 'episode guide' page that I have added my scores out of ten of all the episodes I have seen. These are of course my opinion and I decided to put them on as I don't put scores on the page where I review each episode. And it could also help you decide which ones to buy easier. The episodes with 'TBC' next to it are episodes that I have but still need to watch. I can hopefully watch all of these by next week. I am also contemplating whether to set up a page for Torchwood and Sarah Jane adventure episode scores, so I may do that.
Christmas time!
Now unless you live under a rock, you will know that Christmas is only a few days away, and you know what that mean, PRESENTS!! (and Matt Smith's regeneration). Which also means that I can do plenty or reviews, now I know I haven't been posting anything for a while, but that's mainly because of school and other things, but now it is the holidays which means I have lot's of time to do things. hopefully I can finish off a few things this weekend so this site is ready for an update! (to be honest I don't have a clue what I am going to do, probably just change the title to a Christmassy theme), anyway, this is just to say have a nice Christmas, and prepare yourself for lot's of updates over the coming weeks!
Update: You will also notice that on the episode guide page I have updated it with all the Classic DVD's I am getting, I have got quite a few 1st doctor DVD's that I can review (as I haven't done much 1st doctor DVD reviews)

50th anniversary special: tomorrow 7.50PM BBC1!!!!!!!!!
By the amount of exclamation marks I think you can guess I'm exited!
Yes the day has finally arrived after months of speculation it's here, The Day of the doctor. Will you be watching it? (well if your here I can guess 'yes').
The posters and book definitely won't be finished by tomorrow, but who cares, the day of the doctor should make up for it.
Also hope you like 'An adventure in space and time' last night, I loved it. The review should appear soon. I am struggling how to sum up how amazing it was...
ENJOY THE 50TH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

* Hopefully the 11 doctors posters are done by the 50th.
* Lastly a couple of days after the 50th anniversary will be show I will most likely update the site a little as things like the
'Home' page will need to be updated so hope this doesn't cause any inconvenience and same with the episode guide page.

Just to say I have ordered 2 ceramic 50th anniversary mugs (2nd doctor, 9th doctor) so I will definitely review at least one of them. I have also ordered 'The greatest show in the galaxy' so it's possible I might review that as well.
Also there was a clip from the 50th anniversary (which by the way is just 1 week away!!!) on BBC's children in need. I would put it on here but... well I can't be bothered, sorry.

Something whovians around the world have been guessing about since 2005 is how did the 8th doctor regenerate. And now finally we get to see his regeneration in 'Night of the doctor'. I am still hyperventilating at the moment so I better go. Watch it here: link

I am going to be writing a book which I am on chapter 4 out of 11, the last part (part 11) will be here November 23rd (50 years since first episode) It is on the 'doctor who story's' page. I am also doing an art project on the art page which is where I will do a poster for each doctor starting with 11 and ending with doctor 1. Like the book the last poster (first doctor) will be here November 23rd. Over and out.
