At first my thoughts on this episode was mixed, I wasn't really sure whether I liked it. After a re watch I decided it was good but it wasn't good as the Pond's last episode. To say it was their last episode it could have been better for the longest serving companions in new who with 2 and a half years under their belt, I think it should have definitely been a two parter to make it more significant. Another thing I didn't really like about this episode was the weeping angels. They have now been too overused and this has kind of ruined the impact they had when we first met them in 'blink'. Another wasted opportunity was the statue of liberty weeping angel. When I first heard the weeping angels would be in New York I instantly thought 'statue of liberty'. And I was looking so forward to the episode I was thinking it would be like 'the next doctor' with the cyberking but no. We got the face of the angel and a little thumping from the angel walking. It had so much potential and I am so angry how Moffat didn't use this. One of the things I did like was the cherubs, a genius idea and kind of brought the scary back but not enough. The acting, directing and effects were all amazing, great acting from Karen Gillan (Amy) and Arthur Darvill (Rory). Overall a great episode but there were a lot of problems with it and SO much wasted potential!
