I watched this last night for the third time, the first was when it was on TV, the second was when I bought the DVD which must have been a year ago and both of these times I honestly didn't appreciate the beauty of this episode so when I sat to watch it last night with understanding the beauty in mind, the beauty came out of the episode in bucket loads, my point is you have really got to watch and think when watching this episode to understand it's beauty and I think that is what makes it a great episode, possibly the best of Matt Smith era, because of the great moments like when Amy traps the doctor's tie in a car door and the doctor has to make her trust him after the broken TARDIS makes him 12 years late, this was a very special moment and I think this should happen every time the doctor regenerates I remember this also happened in 'doctor who the movie.' Another thing I think made the episode great was Matt Smith (the eleventh doctors) acting, it was just perfect. We discovered what he was going to be like with the Atraxi and we discovered his costume which suited him perfectly. Karen Gillan (Amy) and Arthur Darvill (Rory) were also brilliant but I didn't like the fact Amy was a Kissogram but I guess that was necessary for the episode. The effects on prisoner Zero and the Atraxi were Ace also the music was perfect as usual. Overall I love this episode and is one of my favourites of Matt Smith era.
