This episode was the third episode of the David Tennant era of doctor who, the first (Christmas special) was about the doctor's post regeneration the second (New Earth) I thought focused on Rose more than the new doctor then this one finally focused on the new doctor, personally I think it would have been better if the swapped this episode around so that it came after the Christmas special but oh well. We had seen a little of what the new doctor was going to be like in the Christmas special (no second chances) but this episode we really began to see what he was like; we saw his love for aliens when he saw the Warewolf, we saw his love for humans when they met queen Victoria and finally we saw his love for technology when he saw the telescope (which we later find out the doctor put in his TARDIS in Journey to the centre of the TRDIS.) The parts where the Warewolf is chasing them is very exiting and scary, the CGI of the Warewolf were spectacularly done. The parts where they meet queen Victoria in the field were very weld done with the period costumes. Another thing I liked about the episode was Pauline Collins portrayal as Queen Victoria, I thought she played her perfectly, very well done to her!
